Tali AI is now integrated within Med Access. Read this article to learn how it works, and how to get started.
Integration Summary
The integration gives you access to Tali’s core tools:
AI Scribe for automated documentation
Medical Dictation for faster note-taking*
Medical Search for quick drug dosage and medication answers within your workflow
Key features include:
Smart Launch: Launch Tali right from your EMR
Single Sign-On: Log into Tali once in your EMR and stay connected
*In-EMR Dictation (Plain Text Boxes)
Currently, we do not support in-EMR dictation into Rich Text boxes. However, you do have the ability to change Med Access Text boxes from Rich Text boxes to Plain text and vice versa. If you switch to a Plain Text box, direct dictation should work smoothly.
Getting Started
Request Integration
Fill out our Integration Request Form and email the form to [email protected] to request the integration. If you're having any issues accessing the form, let us know and we will send you the Integration Request Form to complete and sign.
The form asks for two pieces of information: the Clinic name and the Clinic ID, which is a 6 character code that identifies your clinic when you're logged into Med Access. It's usually at the beginning of the website URL code - something like https://www.abcdef.med-access.net
You can request the form as a PDF or DocuSign for digital signing.
Once you return the signed form, we’ll handle the paperwork and submit it to Telus. Telus will connect your EMR, which may take a few days. Once ready, you’ll receive a confirmation email when the integration is complete
Note: If another user at your clinic has already requested the integration, you will be able to use it as well.
Once you have received a confirmation email from Tali’s Customer Success Team that your Tali integration is live, log into Med Access.
Activate Tali on Med Access
Log into Med Access, then go to the Main Toolbar and click on Profile
Click on Mobile Settings
Click on Integration Management
Next to the Tali AI Assistant, click on Configure
Check the checkbox to Enable Tali AI Assistant
Click Save to commit your changes.
Note: You must be an administrator to execute this step. You can check if you are by looking at your Role in the User Settings:
Launch Tali on Med Access
Click on the launch icon (square with an arrow pointing right) on the far right of your toolbar.
An extension selector will pop up.
You can then scroll down until you see Tali
Click Open
A new Chrome tab or window will open with the Tali widget on the side.
You can then sign in and start using Tali!
If required: Enabling Mobile Terms and Conditions
Most sites have done this before, and so won't need to execute these steps to integrate with Tali. Telus will tell us if these steps need to be followed, and we will tell you when we message you:
Log into Med Access, then click on Profile - the Med Access Administration page will load
Click on Mobile Settings from the nav bar on the left side - you should then be presented with the Terms and Conditions
Review the EMR Terms and Conditions; if you agree to them click Accept and then Save.
If You Don’t Have a Tali Account
Create an account by following these instructions
Once your account is set up, follow the steps above to start using Tali in MedAccess
