What is software integration?

Software integration refers to the process of combining different software systems or applications to work together seamlessly. It involves connecting their functionalities and data so that they can communicate and share information effectively.

Imagine your phone has different Apps like email, calendar, and appointment booking apps. When these apps work together smoothly, like when you add an event from your email to your calendar, it's because of software integration. It's like making sure all the pieces of a puzzle fit together perfectly so your phone can do everything you need it to do without any hiccups.

How does Tali define an integration?

Tali is working hard to make using Tali with your preferred EHR system as seamless as possible. A great example of an integration with Tali could be sharing patient notes recorded in Tali into your EHR automatically, or dictating notes directly into your EHR with Tali’s recording capabilities.

Today, Tali is a layer on top of your EHR. You can think about Tali as a companion product you can use alongside your EHR, making it easy to get started using Tali with almost any EHR.

As we look to provide richer capabilities with all major EHRs, let’s outline the 6 types of Integrations we offer so you know what you can expect from Tali integrations and the EHRs for which we offer each.

Standard Copy & Paste

Tali offers traditional copy and paste functionality with all EHR products. This means that you can copy notes from Tali, such as a SOAP Note, and paste the note into the desired location in your EHR.

Standard Copy & Paste for AI Scribe Notes

After recording a conversation, you can copy the full transcript, a note or sections of a note from Tali and paste them into the desired location in your EHR, such as a Patient Chart

Standard Copy & Paste for Medical Dictations

After recording a dictation, you can copy the full transcript and paste the note into the desired location in your EHR, such as a Patient Chart

In-EHR Dictation

In-EHR dictation is the ability to use Tali’s voice dictation capabilities to dictate directly into a desired text area, such as a text area right in your EHR.

Auto Copy & Paste

Auto copy is the ability to automatically copy and paste Tali notes into multiple sections of an EHR at once. For example, being able to copy the multiple sections of a SOAP note and paste them into the S, O, A, P sections of a patient chart in your EHR with one click.

SMART Launch

SMART Launch is an integration that makes Tali feel like a part of your EHR. With SMART Launch, we provide you with the ability to launch and install Tali right in your EHR, without having to install Tali as a separate App or Chrome extension.

With SMART Launch, the core functionalities of Tali (AI Scribe, Medical Dictation and Medical Search) can be found right within your EHR.

Single Sign On (SSO)

Similar to SMART Launch, SSO aims to make Tali a seamless part of your existing workflow. With SSO, you have the ability to signup and login to Tali using your existing EHR credentials (i.e. username and password).

Tali has this ability to do this today with your Google Account, and we plan to introduce EHR logins soon!

API Integration

An API, or Application Programming Interface, is like a bridge that allows different software systems to communicate and share information. These integrations can allow Tali to work seamlessly with an EHR and take your use of Tali to the next level.

A great example of how an API integration could work with Tali automatically sharing data from Tali into your EHR patient charts. Imagine having the ability to have Tali seamlessly take a patient note generated from your conversation with a patient, and have it automatically added to the patient chart related to that encounter. Amazing!
