Troubleshooting for PS Suite

Review of potential errors on PS Suite

Note: If you are running a version older than PS Suite® EMR QA-5.23.209 (Jul 19, 2024), please update your PSS client. This resolves common issues like multiple login attempts or missing patient context.

Troubleshooting for PS Suite

How to Update to the Latest Version

  1. Contact Support: Reach out to TELUS PSS EMR support at 1-844-EMR-4YOU to request the update.

  2. Eligibility Assessment: The Development Team will review the support case to confirm if your site can proceed.

  3. Check for Holds: Please be aware that updates may be temporarily held for sites involved in active projects, such as:

    • ASP migrations

    • Database splits or merges

    • Service terminations

Chromium/Java Error on Mac

Do you see the error below when you click "Launch Extensions"?

Follow the steps below to resolve:

  1. Close PSS

     2.   Settings -> Privacy & Security -> App Management -> Turn Java to On

     3.   Then restart PSS

Still seeing the error?

If the error persists after enabling Java, you may be running an outdated version.

  • Update Java: Download the latest version from the Java Manual Download page.

  • Fresh Installation: If the update does not work, you may need to uninstall your current Java version entirely before installing the latest version.

Issues with Needs Review

Are you unable to close the Needs Review blue notification?

Follow the steps below to resolve (must be logged in as an admin):

  1. Settings -> Edit users

  2. Under Action Privileges, check "Can Review Other User's Data Entries" and uncheck "Data Entries Require Review"

If you're still unable to close the Needs Review notification, it means you need someone else to review the note.

Common Mistakes

Make sure you:

  1. Launch Tali from a patient's chart

  2. Close the Mobile EMR page after you open Tali or transfer your note

  3. Close Tali in the browser after you've generated your note

Warning Messages

If you're trying to send your Tali note to the patient's chart, get rid of these warning messages by closing the purple mobile EMR page and Tali webpage, then re-opening Tali from the correct patient's chart in PSS.

Prefer to keep using Tali the same way?

You can continue accessing Tali anytime here. This option allows you to use Tali without patient context, so you won’t need to re-launch it between patients.
